Real Tenochtitlan is the proud 2010 best mole award holder in the Chicago area (winner of the second and third place)
We use the freshest ingredients to prepare a rotisserie of seven moles of Oaxaca as well as other specialties and moles based on traditions from the 32 states of his native Mexico. We feature a different mole each night of the week.
All moles are served with rice, homemade tortillas and your choice of:

Thickened with white chocolate, roasted almonds, white onions, pine nuts and chicostle chile. - Manchamanteles

This is a complex sauce made from tomatillos, cilantro, epazote and pumpkinseeds. - Chichilo
Chile chicostle and an assortment of chiles contribute to its dark-red color and flavor. - Rojo coloradito
It is made from finely ground chiles anchos, mulatos, pasilla (all dried), sesame seeds and mexican chocolate. - Negro
Contains over twenty-eight ingredients, including chile chihuacle and chicostle and variety of seeds, dark and rich taste.
Aditional notes: Real Tenochtitlan makes its own Chorizo sausage, that is why you will not find the flavor anywhere else in the city, and we also craft our own handmade tortillas.
